וְלֹֽא־הֵסֵב֩ יֹאשִׁיָּ֨הוּ פָנָ֜יו מִמֶּ֗נּוּ כִּ֤י לְהִלָּחֵֽם־בּוֹ֙ הִתְחַפֵּ֔שׂ וְלֹ֥א שָׁמַ֛ע אֶל־דִּבְרֵ֥י נְכ֖וֹ מִפִּ֣י אֱלֹהִ֑ים וַיָּבֹ֕א לְהִלָּחֵ֖ם בְּבִקְעַ֥ת מְגִדּֽוֹ׃
Akan tetapi, Yosia tidak mau berbalik dan mundur dari hadapan Nekho. Ia malah menyamar untuk berperang melawannya. Ia tidak mendengarkan perkataan Nekho yang berasal dari Allah, dan ia maju untuk berperang di lembah Megido.
